Realme 8 with Helio G95, Super AMOLED Display Launched: Check Price, Specifications

Realme just announced the Realme 8 alongside the Realme 8 Pro globally. Some highlights of the smartphone include an AMOLED display, the Helio G95 SoC, 64-megapixel primary sensor and more. Here’s everything you need to know about the Realme 8.

Realme 8 is available in three variants, the 4GB + 128GB configuration that costs Rs. 14,999, the 6GB + 128GB configuration that costs Rs. 15,999, and the 8GB + 128GB configuration that costs Rs. 16,999 in India. The Realme 8 will go on sale in India starting from March 25 at 12 pm on Flipkart, Realme’s official website, and all major Realme partner stores. Users can also avail of a 10 percent instant discount with ICICI Bank Credit card and EMI transactions.

The phone features a 6.4-inch FHD+ Samsung Super AMOLED display with a 20:9 aspect ratio. The display can achieve a max brightness of 1000 nits and has a 180Hz touch sampling rate. The display also features DC-like Dimming and eyecare functionality.

Under the hood, the phone is powered by the octa-Core MediaTek Helio G95 SoC with 2 Cortex A76 cores clocked at 2.05Ghz and 6 Cortex A55 cores clocked at 2.0Ghz along with the Mali G76, the chipset is built on 12nm process, and comes with a larger vapor chamber to keep the temperature low while gaming or performing heavy tasks.

The device runs on Realme UI 2.0 with Android 11 out of the box. There’s a quad rear camera setup with comprising of a primary 64-megapixel sensor along with an 8-megapixel 119° ultra-wide camera, a 2-megapixel macro, and a 2-megapixel B/W monochrome lens. On the front, it has the same 16-megapixel front camera alike the Pro variant. Some camera features include Cinematic Portraits, Tilt Shift, Starry mode, and more.

The device packs a 5000mAh and comes with support for Dart Charge 30W charging. The device weighs just 177g and is 7.99mm in width. The rear panel has a Split design and is created using the Splicing process. The Realme 8 comes in two futuristic design variants, The Cyber Silver and The Cyber Black. The device supports dual-band Wi-Fi, 4G, Bluetooth 5.0, and also comes with a 3.5mm headphone jack and a USB Type-C port.
