At a launch event held on October 13, 2021, realme introduced the realme GT Neo 2, along with the much-awaited realme UI 3.0. This came a few days after Android 12 source code was added to the Android Open Source Project (AOSP) and a couple of weeks after the realme UI 3.0 China launch.
